Gear blank processing is the first stage of gear processing, which has a direct impact on gear profile processing and needs to be highly valued. The traditional method of gear blank machining mostly adopts the method of drilling - rough turning - broaching - multi tool turning - upper taper mandrel finish turning the end face. The shaft gear generally adopts the process method of drilling center hole flush with the end face - profiling lathe - grinding. It can be seen that there are many processes in this arrangement, and the datum position is easy to bump and scratch. At present, the technological method of machining gear blanks with CNC lathe has been widely used, making the disc parts only need two processes to complete: first refine the inner hole and one end face of the lathe, and then use it as the rest of the benchmark precision lathe; The processing of shaft gear can be completed through special chucks or even one clamping and finishing turning. This not only reduces the number of tooling and the floor area of the machine tool, reduces the probability of bumping and scratching of the workpiece, but also improves the accuracy of the tooth blank with good consistency of the workpiece size.
